When it comes to fitness trackers, there is no shortage of choice out there but this doesn’t mean that all of them are worth the investment. Fitbit Charge 2 is by far one of the most popular ones available on the market, so when the nice people from Currys offered to send me one for free, I decided to give it a try.

The best part about Fitbit Charge 2 in my opinion, is that you can improve your fitness level step by step according to its various features. There are two types of features here. Some of them are essential for everyone, while others are designed for advanced users.
Fitbit Charge 2 can track your heart rate, steps, distance, calories, sleep and physical activity. It also supports interval workouts, which makes it a gem for gym goers like me or all you runners out there. It doesn’t have GPS though, which I think is ok for the price.
You can also receive alerts and customise the clock faces or change the straps. Features like SmartTrack, Multi-sport Modes or Guided Breathing Sessions can help you take your wellbeing to the next level.

It has a nice big screen, comfy strap and looks very chic too. It is and seems to be very durable too (I have dropped it already few times and it is still going strong). To pair and get the Fitbit started, you need to download the free Fitbit app on your phone and create an account (if you don’t have one already). Fitbit Charge 2 includes a 45-day money back guarantee and a 2-year warranty in case something goes wrong.

Benefits of using Fitbit Charge 2
The main benefit of Fitbit Charge 2 is its long battery life, which can easily last around 5 days. This makes it ideal for a busy person like me who love technology but can’t stand constantly charging the devices.

This fitness tracker is a complete solution. It can track all of your activities and help you understand your fitness level through the Cardio Fitness Score. You can even pause and resume workouts, which I love using!

The design is pretty classy compared to most fitness trackers so you can wear it anytime without worrying that it won’t match your outfit. The wristband’s material is latex-free and very comfortable to wear. It is swappable too, you simple press the little snaps on either end of the screen, and it’ll pop out of the strap, so if you don’t fancy the full on black look, just swap it around. The screen is big so you don’t have issues reading the messages.

The silent vibrating alarm is a great advantage as it allows you to slowly wake up. I’ve found that this is very effective, particularly if you are not a morning person and you don’t usually wake up easily.

It’s easy to get stuck working on your laptop for many hours. Fitbit Charge 2 sends Reminders to Move every hour. This prevents back aches and all the pain that inactivity can cause and helps you to get away from your desk!

When your phone is nearby, you can receive important notifications or reminders, so you won’t have to keep checking your phone, although it doesn’t work for Whatsapp, Facebook messenger or any social media notifications.

Are there any potential flaws?
I never leave home without my smartphone, so the fact that this device doesn’t have its own GPS didn’t bother me too much. You can connect it to your smartphone’s GPS anyway. The screen seems to attract too many fingerprints for my taste, but it’s pretty easy to clean. It is not waterproof, so be careful when showering!

All in all, Fitbit Charge 2 is a great choice for anyone interested in an accurate and fashionable fitness tracker. It is reliable and user-friendly, so I consider it to be a good device that I’ll probably use for a long time. If you need more information read here
