This homemade simple granola is my family's favourite. Only a few ingredients, yet so tasty and crunchy while being naturally vegan, gluten-free and healthy. It's ready in just 30 minutes!
This homemade simple granola is a truly delicious breakfast. It's made with good-for-you ingredients including oats, seeds, nuts, dried fruit, and coconut oil along with maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
The beauty of this recipe is you can swap the ingredients to whatever you have in your cupboard. No almonds? Use walnuts. Run out of pumpkins seeds? Use sunflower seeds. No raisins? Chop up some dates or dried apricots instead.
Homemade Granola Recipe Ingredients
Here is your shopping list :
- Oats - Just the basic porridge/rolled oats. (If making this recipe gluten-free, make sure to use certified GF oats.)
- Almonds - Or any other raw nuts that you like. You can chop them, slice them, crush them or leave them whole.
- Pumpkin Seeds - Or any other seeds such as sunflower seeds
- Desiccated Coconut - Or coconut flakes
- Maple Syrup - Maple syrup is my favourite, but any other sweetener would also do.
- Coconut Oil - Or any other mild-flavoured oil that you like or have already in your cupboard.
- Cinnamon, Vanilla Extract - They both make this granola extra tasty.
- Raisins - You can swap raisins for chopped dates or dried apricots, just make sure you add them in after baking
