Happy Holy Saturday. Today's recipe is for those of you serial snackers, I will be telling all about chia and flax seeds biscuits recipe. I love snacking and could just live on snacks. I am always on the hunt for new healthy snack ideas, so if you have some good ones, please comment below with recipes, links or ideas.I really like chia seeds, they are amazing small power houses that add extra protein, fiber, magnesium, manganese and calcium to your diet. Give a try to my no carbs almond and chia biscuits , chia pudding and chocolate overnight oats or popcorn trifle, all of them featuring chia seeds.
Chia seeds are very versatile, combine them with ripe, sweet bananas, bake them and you get yummy, crunchy biscuits, perfect to keep in your bag and pop in your mouth whenever you feel a bit peckish. If you don't have chia seeds in your cupboard (what??) try flax seeds, also known as linseeds. They are slightly higher in fat than chia seeds, but more crunchy. Packed with Omega-3 essential fatty acids, fiber and antioxidants they are known to keep you regular, improve heart disease risk and lower cholesterol levels.
