Those of you who have been following me for a while, I am sure you have noticed my love for Provamel and their products . If you, like me, want to follow a plant-based diet using natural, organic products from a company that supports ethical and sustainable production then Provamel and its delicious range of products could just be your winner. To top it all, they are now running a competition where bloggers and creative souls like you can win a glamping trip! Read below to find out more.
Founded in 1983, Provamel is the organic sister of well-known brand Alpro. Their lactose-free, vegan range of drinks, yogurts and cream alternatives are all 100% organic and free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. That's a thumbs up from me and all clean eaters out there. Even better, the company itself is fully committed to sourcing ethical ingredients, produced in a socially responsible way.
Before we get to the exciting bit about glamping, let me just tell you a bit about what Provamel does. Provamel is part of the IBD EcoSocial programme, which exists to ensure that workers involved in the sourcing of soya products have good, safe working conditions and also supports community projects in the regions where the beans are cultivated. In addition, Provamel have joined forces with the WWF as part of their Climate Savers programme, which along with other socially responsible industry members, is involved in planning to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases worldwide.
Now In 2010, the production of Provamel products became CO2 neutral by incorporating energy-saving measures and replacing the burning of fossil fuels for energy with sustainable, greener methods.
Last year, they expanded their range and updated their look and now have an impressive range.
The company produces an exciting variety of delicious drinks including those made from soya, rice, coconut and almond to name just a few. They also have a number of completely sugar-free yoghurts to offer, something not often seen on the supermarket shelves! All are plant-based, meaning they are not only good for you but are better for the planet, too. The production of plants (as opposed to animals, whether they are raised for meat or dairy) uses considerably less land, water and other resources, as well as significantly lower CO2 emissions. Check out the website for some very interesting information on this.
These dairy alternatives are perfect for cooking with if you are vegan or vegetarian, or even if you’re not! My absolute favourite is pineapple, coconut and rice milk. So....sooo nice, makes your porridge creamy and taste like a pina colada!
Now for the exciting bit .If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Ms Berry or Mr Ramsey, then Provamel have just the competition for you. With a fantastic sustainable yet luxurious romantic weekend for two up for grabs, head on over to www.provamel.com/uk/cocogonia#game to see how you can enter your creations.
