Hello, hello! This is probably going to be the fastest post I have ever done. The reason is I am literally on my way to London to do the Shine Night Walk Marathon. It starts at 10 pm and I guess I will finish somewhere around 9 am. Please wish me luck!
I will need some kind of fuel to keep me walking all night, something carby, tasty and quick to make. I am doing this with my friend Annett who is not too keen on nuts, so I have come up with these gorgeous clean, nut free brownies with "chocolate" glaze. It tastes great, quite gooey and dense.
I didn't use oil either, instead I added a splash of new Provamel soya milk , which btw.is absolutely delicious. It doesn't taste like the usual soya milk, it has a lovely fresh taste and a tiny bit of apple juice to make it a bit sweet.

Clean nut free brownies
Nut free brownies recipe with chocolate gaze using only 5 ingredients? I don't mind if you do!
Ingredients
- 1 tin chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoon raw cacao (or 3 tablespoon cocoa powder)
- 1.5 cup oats
- 4 tablespoon Provamel Soya Milk (or any other milk)
- 2 tablespoon natural maple syrup
- Chocolate glaze:
- ½ cup Provamel Soya milk (or any other milk)
- A handful of dates
- 1 heaped tablespoon cacao
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees and line a small baking dish (8x8) with baking paper
- Pop all ingredients into your food processor and mix well
- If the mixture feels too dry add another tablespoon of milk
- Next spread the mixture evenly into the baking dish. It will be quite sticky, so wet the back of your spatula to make it easier for you.
- Pop in the oven for around 30 minutes or until the brownies have a hard crust on. It will feel like it is not done in the middle, but the magic happens when it cools down completely
- In the meantime make the chocolate glaze by blending soya milk and dates in the blender, then transfer to a pot and simmer for 5 mins.
- Add the cacao, let it bubble for another 2 mins and your chocolate sauce is done. Let the sauce cool down and thicken up, before spreading over the brownies.
I don't know how many calories, fat, sugars, protein they contain, but what I do know they are bloomin' marvelous, wholesome and full of plant based goodness, so enjoy and scoff them down like there is no tomorrow. Also take a look at my sweet potato nutella brownies, they are da chocolate bomb!!
Much love,
