Jazz apples are my absolute favourite, so when JazzApple UK challenged me to come up with a recipe using their apples, I was thrilled. Today I am sharing with my healthy apple pie bake recipe! It is so delicious and perfect for this upcoming Indian summer season. Thank you to JazzApple UK for sponsoring this recipe!
I truly love Jazz apples. I don’t often see them in every shop, but when I do I buy in bulk. I love them sliced with peanut butter and a few chocolate chips, or in my apple galette, apple tower or just scoffing one down as a quick snack.
Here are some facts from JazzApple UK (you can check them in here) :
The Perfect Match - JAZZ is a funky fusion of a Braeburn and a Royal Gala – the nation’s two most bought apple varieties.
• Grown in the UK - although JAZZ is a truly international apple, it is an apple variety that loves the English soil and conditions meaning that from November to the end of April, UK JAZZ Apples are widely available. The variety is a big favourite of UK apple growers.
• The Taste - described as a tangy sweet taste, the taste profile of a JAZZ is certainly unique, offering the perfect mix of sweet and tart. Here’s what people at the BBC Good Food show said: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2U1q4V1OMY
• The Crunchiest and Juiciest – ultra-refreshment in apple form, JAZZ apples are crunchy and filled with thirst quenching apple-ly goodness. In fact, you probably won’t find a juicier apple.
• Lasting power to help reduce wastage - thanks again to its crunchy, dense texture, JAZZ apples have an amazing ability to keep. If stored correctly in a cool dark place or even better, in the fridge, they can easily last for up to and over 4 weeks.
• All year-round availability - by growing perfectly in Southern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere countries, it means that JAZZ apples are available for 12 months of the year. Now grown in the UK, NZ, France, Italy, USA, Chile, Switzerland, Austria and Australia.
• More than an apple - it’s a naturally refreshing sensation #JazzSensation
• Responsibly grown - by specially selected growers under license.
• Available - Aldi, Asda, Booths, Co-op, Lidl, Morrisons, M&S, Ocado, Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's and good independent green grocers.
Now back to the healthy apple pie bake recipe. This is simply gorgeous with a lovely texture and loads of flavour. It is incredibly juicy, fragrant with a tang of sweet and sour, just the way I like it. Instead of milk, I’ve used apple juice, but if you are feeling brave try apple cider, I think it will make it taste even better! In addition, the apple juice sweetens it slightly, so you don’t have to add too many other sweeteners, and instead, you can just use the natural sweetness of the fruit.

How easy and simple is this healthy apple pie bake recipe?? I am so obsessed and so are my kids. So far we have made it twice in one week, once for breakfast and another time served it with a warm custard for as an evening pudding.
