There are two major things in my life that I am truly grateful..family and friends. They mean the world to me, but I love them even more when they buy me presents that I secretly dream off. A few weeks ago it was my birthday, yep 20 again, this is what clean eating does to you. My lovely friend Ali got me a voucher for Raw Food for Weightloss class with Saskia. I was so thrilled because I have been experimenting with raw food , desserts in particular for a while now, and following Saskia for more than 2 years. Saskia is so lovely, funny, easy to relate to and knows so much about healthy eating. We have immediately clicked! During the workshop we have made these clean triple chocolate brownies and honestly they were so amazing , so I asked Saskia if I could share this recipe with you and she said yes! Another thing I want to share with you today is that I loved the workshop so much, that I want everyone to know I’m challenging myself and participating in the Raw Vitality Detox Challenge beginning June 8th. I’m hoping you will want to join me on my quest to become even healthier, stronger, emotionally balanced, and achieve an overall improved body and mind.
First however, I want to explain what eating raw is and what it’s all about. It’s basically preparing and eating meals that are uncooked, using fresh raw ingredients. The diet mostly consists of raw vegetables, fruits, seeds, sprouted grains and nuts. The main rule is that your food is either cold or warmed to a temperature that never exceeds 43 degrees/118 degrees. The benefits of adding more raw food to your diet include feeling physically lighter, with glowing skin, supple joints, great digestion and improved self-confidence. The people at Saskia's workshop who have already done the Vitality Detox said they also experienced greater self-awareness, emotional balance, mental clarity, vitality and improved energy. What's not to love! Eating more raw is an overall life enhancing way to eat. It provides a variety of benefits that you just don’t want to live without any longer. I want to feel healthy, beautiful, energized and happy. This detox is going to allow me to reach my goals.
Saskia's detox consists of menu plans for every single day, shopping lists, recipes, plus weekly spirit, body and mind coaching support. So basically all the thinking and set up is done for me and I even get moral and practical support throughout the process. This is not going to be expensive either because the summer is coming and all the fruit and veggies are much cheaper than in winter. All the ingredients can be sourced from your local supermarket or health shops and it won’t cost more than your usual shopping bill. When Saskia told me all about this detox I was sold immediately.
The 6 week schedule starts me off gently with eating 70% raw and 30% cooked food for the first two weeks. This is going to be easy since the program provides specific shopping lists, menus and recipes to follow. By week 3 I will be eating 85% raw food and 15% cooked. In week 5 I'll be seeing what it's like eating a 100% raw food menu and week 6 I'll be dropping back down to 90% raw food and 10% cooked.
I’m one of these people that if someone isn't motivating me or encouraging me to stick to a program, I'll stop in the middle or right before it’s over. I feel confident that I will make it through this entire detox easily however, especially since it provides coaching support calls. Come on, who is going to join me?? Saskia has even offered £50 off exclusively for me and all my lovely readers, so if you do want to join click on this link to find out more and get 50 pounds off. Once the six short weeks is over we will feel great, have more energy, glowing skin, strong bodies, a healthy mental state and more! We owe it to ourselves so that we can become the best of ourselves and live life to the fullest! Let’s do this together! Please comment below or message me if you are going to do it, so we can link up and support each other.
