Barbecue Banana Split is the perfect sweet treat and one of the easiest summer barbecue dessert recipes to make. Moreover this is a fantastic way to use your ripe bananas.
This is an easy recipe which you can cook on the grill, barbecue or even in the oven. You can serve it with my homemade vanilla ice cream or my Pina Colada ice cream
How Do You Make Barbecue Banana Split
This barbecue banana split is so decadent and warm and gooey. You can actually eat it just like that on its own or with nothing added. I saw this recipe on the Co-op website and had to immediately try it!
Oh, and I haven’t mentioned how EASY this recipe is...
GUYS! So easy!
- Make a split in the middle of the banana
- Stuff it with a couple of squares of raw chocolate
- Wrap in foil, and bake/grill/barbecue for around 15 minutes.
- Unwrap the foil, add your favourite toppings and devour while still warm
HOW TO SERVE BARBECUE BANANA SPLIT
There are so many different things you can stuff and serve your banana split with. Below are some of my favourites, but feel free to get creative! I would love to know what you come up with, so please comment below!
- Raw chocolate and raspberries with a few leaves of mint
- Vanilla ice cream or Nice Cream
- Crushed pecans or walnuts and a drizzle of maple syrup
- Dark chocolate chips topped with my Coconut Whipped Cream
- Cinnamon and a sprinkle of coconut sugar

Ingredients
- 2 bananas
Toppings
- Raw chocolate and raspberries with a few leaves of mint

Notes
Don't use green bananas.
How long do you BBQ a banana for?
Anything between 10 - 15 minutes will be enough. You can open the wrap and check if the consistency is to your taste. Just be careful, the foil will be burning hot, so use gloves or serving tongs.
