Hello you lovely lot! Once again I feel this is no recipe, because it is so simple, but they say the simplest things in life are the best , so here is my clean eating tortilla wrap.
All you need is water and your favourite flour. In this clean eating tortilla wrap recipe I am using wholemeal flour, but you could use spelt too. I have tried and it works well.
Clean eating tortilla wrap recipe
The key in making the best wrap is to make the wrap, or tortilla, as thin as possible. To achieve this you have to spread the batter very thinly, which is not easy because the pan is hot and the batter starts cooking immediately. So be quick my friends and spread it as fast as you can.
I love wraps and so does my Sofia , so what I made for her today was to spread almond butter all over it and then wrapped it around a banana. Then I sliced it to create pinwheels, added some strawberries and drizzled it with a touch of coconut syrup from the lovely guys at Coconut Merchant. She ate the whole lot……within seconds……and left none for me….NOTHING and demanded another one! She is a foodie in the making I am telling you. She also requested this for her packed lunch when she is back at school next week, so the pressure is on ladies and gentlemen!
Ok shall I tell you the recipe? Let’s go

Wow, I can't believe that's all it takes to make a tortilla! Why oh why do companies put so much garbage in their products when this is all it takes! I can't wait to try this as we eat a LOT of tortillas!

Whole wheat flour, water and salt - that is how we make a wheat version of the popular South Indian crepe called Dosa. I sometimes add some coconut to it to get some bits of that in between every bite. I never thought of using that recipe for a tortilla wrap. I am so doing this the next time I need some tortillas. Thanks for the idea!

Do you think this would work with gluten free flour? my daughter is coeliac and would love this!
Hedi Hearts
Hello lovely, yes, gluten free flour works too as long as it's not coconut flour, which requires a lot of moisture. Let me know how you got on. Hedi x x
