Looking for a healthier alternative to traditional vegan doughnuts? These raw donuts are full of plant-based goodness, but they pack a punch in the taste department too!

With natural peanut butter and raw chocolate, there's a lot to love about these raw vegan donuts. But perhaps the best part is how easy they are to make!
You don't need any fancy appliances like a dehydrator. Just a good donut mold (silicone makes it easier to get them out when done), and a basic food processor.
These peanut butter donuts only require 4 ingredients and zero baking!
Just a heads up: raw donuts will not be the light, fluffy, warm, doughy things you may have eaten in the past (or present - no judgement here!). These are denser in texture, yes, but they’re also equally dense with flavour and taste.
Try them - we'll bet you'll be converted to raw doughnuts from here on out.
Raw Donut Ingredients:
Get ready to make these delicious treats - you'll most likely have all you need in your kitchen!
- 100g mixed nuts (we used almonds and cashews)
- 2.5 cups of dates - soaked, pitted and roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons raw natural peanut butter
- 1 bar (around 80g) of raw dark chocolate (if you don't have this, I've given an alternative option on the recipe card below)
- Crushed peanuts (optional topping)
- Silicone donut mold
How to Make fGluten-Free Dairy-Free Donuts
Pop your nuts, dates, and peanut butter into a food processor and mix until a sticky dough forms. You can add a tablespoon of water if needed to bind it all together.
Place the dough into the silicone mold and press it down firmly.
Place your mold into the fridge for 30 minutes to set.
Meanwhile, gently melt your chocolate by breaking it into a glass bowl, and then placing that bowl into a bowl filled with hot water. This will ensure it doesn't overheat.
Take the donuts out of the mold carefully and dunk then curved side down into the chocolate.
Place them on a plate and sprinkle some crushed peanuts on top.
Pop them back in the fridge for 15 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
And you're done!
