    Rollagranola review

    Healthy Hazelnut Rollagranola

If you go through the recipes on my blog, you will realise that I have a very small obsession with granola. From Gingerbread granola, Chocolate granola, Nutty granola to Peanut butter granola, I made them all. But, sometimes you want to try something new and be treated if you like and this is where Rollagranola comes in.

    Match Caveman Rollagranola

I couldn't almost believe my luck when they approached if I would like to try some of their flavours. Rollagranola is handcrafted in small batches here in the UK, each box contains 19% nuts (Brazil nuts, cashews and almonds) with gluten-free oats, raisins, coconut, sunflower and pumpkin seeds and other delicious ingredients. There are no refined sugars or hidden ingredients – just simple, high quality organic ingredients that make each bowl a real treat.

    Organic & Nutty Rollagranola

I received the following flavours: Matcha Caveman, Organic & Nutty and Healthy Hazelnut. Now I saw on their social media someone saying that the granola has a bit of hefty tag on it (£4.99) per box, but honestly it's worth it. The taste, the big clusters and the satisfaction after you had a handful is worth every penny. And you are supporting a small UK business, not a massive global manufacturer.

Out of these 3 flavours the Healthy Hazelnut is my most favourite. It just tastes a bit like Nutella. The Matcha Caveman packs in decent amount of protein (over 6g per serving) and the Organic & Nutty flavour has the biggest clusters.

    4 recipes using granola

How do you eat granola other than with milk you ask? well, here are some recipes for you:

    Matcha Caveman Baked Peaches
    Ingredients:
    2 large peaches
    1 tablespoon coconut oil
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
Coconut yoghurt & matcha caveman granola to serve
    Method:
Preheat oven to 170c. Cut two peaches in half, remove the stone and rub with coconut oil.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and put in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until soft and brown.
Top with coconut yoghurt and a generous sprinkle of granola for a good crunch!

    Acai Smoothie Bowl
    Ingredients:
    ½ sachet Acai
    ½ cup frozen mango
    ¼ cup frozen banana
    ½ cup raspberries
    Almond milk to blend
Toppings: Cool Raspberry granola & fruit
    Method:
Add all your frozen fruit to a high-powered food processor and start to break down the fruit. Add almond milk a little at a time and keep blending, scraping down the sides as needed – it will take a while until this is completely smooth, so be patient!
Once there’s no lumps left and you’ve reached your desired consistency (by adding as much milk as needed), pour into a bowl and top with a generous serving of berries and raspberry granola.

    Absolutely Chocolate Bark
    Ingredients:
    350g good quality dark chocolate
    ¾ cup granola
¼ cup additions – coconut flakes
    1-2 tablespoons peanut butter
A large pinch of sea salt
    Method:
Line a rectangular baking tray with baking paper
Meanwhile, chop up the chocolate into small pieces and put in a pan on the hob on a low heat. Stir regularly whilst the chocolate melts, until smooth and silky with no lumps!
Pour the melted chocolate on to the baking tray evenly. Add the granola and coconut flakes evenly, with small blobs of peanut butter. Sprinkle a large pinch of sea salt across the top and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
Once set, break the chocolate into bite-sized, chunky pieces and store in the fridge.

    Caveman’s Dream Granola Bars
    Ingredients:
    1 cup fine porridge oats
    ½ teaspoon baking soda
    ½ teaspoon baking powder
    ½ teaspoon sea salt salt
    2 cups caveman’s dream granola
    ¼ cup applesauce
½ cup granulated stevia, coconut sugar or your favourite alternative sweetener
    ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
½ cup dark choc chips or chunks
    Method:
Preheat the oven to 175c and line a baking tin with baking paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in the granola.
In a separate large bowl, combine the applesauce, sweetener and melted coconut oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until well combined. Add in the chocolate chips and stir again before pressing firmly into your baking tin.
Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Let your granola bars cool completely (we left them in the fridge!) before taking out the baking tin and cutting into chunky slices.

I hope you like all these delicious recipes. If you want to get more granola inspiration follow Rollagranola on their Instagram and Facebook.

    Much love,
    Hedi
