This healthy peanut butter granola is made with only 3 ingredients (plus a few optional extras). It's so delicious, clustery and crunchy, you will be making this recipe over and over again.

Granola is my go-to breakfast. But even as much as I love it, it's nice to mix things up with different flavours and textures sometimes!
I eat mine with plant-based yoghurt and fruit in the mornings, in a parfait, or on its own as a snack. It's so delicious and makes an excellent healthy meal to start the day.
This peanut butter granola recipe is really easy, naturally vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free.
It's also made with only 3 ingredients, but feel free to add in any other extras if you’d like!
Vegan Peanut Butter Granola Ingredients
As promised, this ingredient list is super simple and short. However, if you like to change things up a bit, I've included some variations on this granola recipe below.
- Oats - any oats will do. If you are sensitive to gluten, use certified gluten-free oats.
- Peanut Butter - smooth peanut butter works the best. Choose 100% peanut butter without added oils or salt. You could also swap this out for almond, cashew, or seed butter if you wanted to!
- Maple Syrup - honey is often used in granola recipes, but I prefer to make mine vegan-friendly, and opt for maple syrup instead.
Optional extras:
The base ingredients are all you need to whip up this healthy vegan granola, but if you want to get a little fancier, try adding in any (or all!) of the following:
- Dark chocolate chips (add in once granola is cool)
- Dried cranberries or raisins
- Nuts - cashews, pecans, almonds, and walnuts all work. As do peanuts of course!
How do you make peanut butter granola?
I'm always saying how much I prefer making my own granola over buying it from the store. You can make it exactly how you like it, and don't even get me started on the price! Let's just say, making your own granola is a lot easier on the pocket.
To make this healthy homemade granola, you just follow the following simple instructions:
- Start with preheating the oven to 160C / 320F and line your baking tray with baking paper.
- Mix the maple syrup and peanut butter together in a pot, and gently heat on the stovetop. You can also warm it up in the microwave for 20-25 sec.
- Once melted, add in the oats, and mix to make sure all the oats are nicely covered.
- Add in cinnamon, vanilla, and nuts if using.
- Spread evenly on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 12 mins or until slightly brown and crunchy. Once the time is up, switch the oven off but leave the granola there for another 15 minutes with the oven door slightly open.
- Let it cool, mix in any dried fruit or chocolate chips and enjoy straight away or store in an airtight container for later.
How to Store your Granola with Peanut Butter
Once completely cooled, transfer your homemade granola to an airtight container. It will last well at room temperature for 2-3 weeks.
