Varitaions on this Christmas Granola Gift Recipe
One great thing about granola is the versatility it offers! You can change many of the ingredients up without losing the essence of the recipe. Here are some variations you may like to try:
- Change up the nuts. I've added pistachios as I liked the red & green theme, but they're not absolutely neccessary. Likewise, if you're not a fan of almonds and cashews, you can change this for walnuts, pecans, brazil nuts (chopped) - anything goes really.
- Omit the coconut if you're not a fan, or add in flaked coconut or coconut chips if you're a huge fan!
- Add in some dark chocolate chips (once the granola has cooled).
- Add in ½ teaspoonsground ginger for gingerbread granola!
How to Store this Festive Granola
This edible Christmas gift will store well at room temperature for around 2-4 weeks. Just make sure to keep it in an airtight container.
